Hey, I’m Jack. Thanks for being here.

For a long time, I believed hard work could solve almost everything. Push harder. Sacrifice now. Keep going. Eventually life would fall into place.

It felt true… until it didn’t.

I burned out. I lost parts of myself. And the life I was trying to build started collapsing quietly from the inside out.

So I rebuilt.

More slowly this time.
More honestly.
More intentionally.

This publication is where I write fiction and reflective essays about responsibility, pressure, repair, relationships, and the quiet work of becoming someone you trust.

Not perfection.
Not hustle culture.
Not performance.

Just the real work of being human:

  • understanding ourselves

  • facing what we avoid

  • repairing what we’ve broken

  • building lives we can actually stand behind

💡 About the 1-2-1 Newsletter

Each Tuesday, I send:

  • 1 idea I’m sitting with

  • 2 voices worth learning from

  • 1 reflection or practice to carry into the week ahead

Alongside the newsletter, I also publish fiction and long-form essays exploring themes like identity, integrity, burnout, meaning, healing, and the tension between comfort and truth.

Some pieces are personal.
Some practical.
Some fictional.

All of them are attempts to better understand what it means to live honestly in a complicated world.

If you’re trying to figure things out without losing yourself in the process, you’ll probably feel at home here.

I’m glad you’re here.
